The Wedding Ceremony

The harp’s delightful and enchanting sound creates a wonderful air for a wedding day. As an alternative to the organ or recorded music, the resonating tones of the harp provide the finishing touches for a memorable ceremony.

The ceremony package:

  • Approximately 15 minutes of background music as the guests arrive and take their seats;
  • A processional for the entrance of the bride;
  • Two to three selected pieces played during the signing of the register;
  • A recessional as the bride and groom exit as husband and wife.

Please see Heledd’s Repertoire for an extensive choice of music.

Personalise the music to be played to ensure the final choice is just right for you. Heledd is happy to offer a free consultation at her home to provide help and advice, and discuss any special requests.

Although the government has recently relaxed its laws on religious music at civil ceremonies, registrars vary significantly in their interpretation of the rules. Therefore, please check with your registrar if you are concerned that your choice of music may have religious connotations. Hymns are still not permitted, whether words are included or not.
